Significantly, July 18th is the date of the 54th’s first major battle at Fort Wagner, South Carolina and is a celebrated site of the Civil War. Held at the African Meeting House, 46 Joy Street, doors open at 5:30pm; the program begins at 6:00pm. Authors Nicole Terez Dutton and Assistant Professor, Wellesley College, Dr. Kellie Jackson, joins the Museum’s Director of Education, L’Merchie Frazier for the discussion.
